Ok, so Madrid was cool as hell. I went the weekend before last with my group and the city was amazing. So many cool monuments and parks and whatnot. There we saw the royal palace, the congressional buildings, and the equivalent to central park. We walked around the city and it was a hell of a lot more lively than Granada is on any given night... but then again, it is the capitol.
The second day we spent in Toledo. Yeah, Toledo, where big bull fights go down and where all the swords from Lord of the Rings were made.
Believe or not they have an actual sword factory there!
The city was the capitol of Spain for like 1000 years but of course its owner changed quiet a bit.
You can see why, its located on this perfect hill with an excellent defense river and a great vantage point of the surrounding country.
We took a tour around the city and then ate lunch, walked around a little more and went back to madrid. Then we had the night off in madrid. Which is when I bought my new excellent jacket. Basically, its a light colored and material summer jacket. I've been searching for it since I got to Granada and I looovveeee it. >.<>
The third day we went walked around madrid some more, and visited this amazing outside...palace...park....pond. I don't know what its called but I have a picture. Amazing!
Anyways, I'm rushing to get this posted, so I'll put up more later! Wish me luck on my exams I have this week >.<>
That's so awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm beginning to like history a lot. This seems like SUCH an awesome place to learn :)
And the jacket's awesome, too.
